Our objective as Certified Access Specialists (CASp) is to help Los Angeles businesses understand the importance of disability access in the built environment and guide them toward ADA compliance. We achieve this objective by performing site inspections to identify architectural barriers that do not meet the state and federal requirements. Once a business or property owner understands what elements need improvement, we help them to create an action plan to reasonably achieve compliance. Over time, CASp inspected businesses increase accessibility for their clients and staff while decreasing their exposure to ADA lawsuits. In addition to evaluating existing facilities, we support architects and contractors with new construction and alterations projects by providing Plan Review and Path of Travel services.
