ADA Inspections

An ADA inspection is a construction-related disability access inspection that is reviewed for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act only. ADA inspections do not consider state or local codes that may apply to any particular property. Since there is no official certification of an “ADA inspector”, a consultant performing an ADA inspection can be a Certified Access Specialists, an ADA coordinator or even a consultant that claims to have specialized knowledge of the ADA. All ADA inspections performed by Proactive Access LLC are conducted by our experienced Certified Access Specialists (CASp).

ADA compliance inspections are typically reserved for national clients or facilities located outside of California. We also perform ADA compliance surveys for California facilities or defense attorneys that wish to limit the scope of inspection to the ADA only. In most cases, California clients are better served by receiving a CASp inspection report under the ADA and California Building Code.
